A National Trauma to be Healed

The terrible massacre on the seventh of October 2023, the protracted fighting that has followed, and the anti-Semitism now spreading around the world has left the Israeli psyche wounded and broken. Preliminary studies indicate that 60% of Israelis are experiencing high-level depression and about 30% of Israelis are dealing with complex post-traumatic reactions.

As part of the 7 Plus initiative, we have established a network of qualified private therapists, which offers victims of the war private and high-quality psychological treatment at an easily affordable price. This treatment is offered to children, adults, and whole families.

Why We Started 7 Plus:
Our Goal for National Recovery

The feeling of personal uncertainty has become part of the war routine of Israel’s population. Anxiety, stress, and various medical problems plague every family in Israel. Moreover, Israel’s younger generation, which, like young people around the world, has not yet recovered from the Corona crisis, finds itself broken, confused, and discouraged. Many families worry day and night for their loved ones who are fighting for the existence of the country, are absent from their homes, and face real danger to their lives.

Under these conditions, almost every person in Israel needs emotional support, and hundreds of thousands of Israelis need psychological treatment that will help them find their inner resources and renew their sense of hope, initiative, and joy in life.

7 Plus recognizes that the trauma of the war affects the souls of Israelis throughout the entire country. People who live within Israel within an area of up to 7 kilometers from the border are considered direct victims of the war, but the 7 Plus initiative was born to make professional psychological treatment accessible to even more people.

In order to fulfill this important national mission, we have brought together a group of senior professionals with decades of experience in the treatment of trauma from terrorism, war, and community disasters and have established a nationwide network of excellent therapists.

Our network offers psychological treatment that takes place in private clinics and under completely discreet conditions. All our therapists are first-class professionals who offer their services at a significant discount for 40 therapy sessions.

Offering our Services to Heal a Nation

To help Israel recover from the events of October 7 and its aftermath, we seek to
strengthen resilience and restore the Israeli spirit by:

  • Providing an immediate therapeutic response to adults and children with the help of a senior and experienced professional team nationwide.
  • Offering long-term care for those who need help processing the losses as a result of the October 7 events and the war. We offer therapeutic assistance in dealing with grief and bereavement beyond the nuclear families of those impacted by terror, war, and kidnapping.
  • Delivering psychological treatment focused on the rapid reduction of symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. We offer long-term treatment aimed at reducing distress and developing personal resilience and skills to face the challenges of the future.
  • Treating families by combining a parallel, multi-professional response within the family and with the community. This multidimensional work enables a comprehensive response for children and adults while connecting to their internal and environmental sources of support.
  • Empowering Israel’s younger generation with the help of professional group interventions. This helps strengthen the sense of security and trust of children and teenagers and helps mitigate emotional injuries that may develop into serious disorders in the future in general and during military service in particular

What Our Clients Say

I am a mother of four children and my oldest son has been serving in Gaza since the beginning of the war. Everyone sees me as a strong and successful woman and the truth is that I never thought I would need psychological treatment. The war changed me. It started with difficulty sleeping at night and constant worries for my son. After a week, terrible anxiety attacks began. I experienced attacks at home and at work. I started being late for work, cutting the work day in half, and after a month I just didn’t have the energy to work. Sometimes I just couldn’t get out of bed. I went to therapy only because I was afraid of what would happen to my little children who see a broken and dysfunctional mother every day.

The therapy saved my family. The techniques I learned help me sleep at night and I hardly experience anxiety attacks now. I’m waiting for my son to return home safely and then I can get back to myself, but in the meantime I’m using therapy to get back to functioning, and especially to be able to take care of the children who are at home.
